Election Day

Today our nation chooses a new leader.  I'm so glad that God is Sovereign, on His throne.  I'm so glad I have peace because He is the King of Kings.  I am waiting for him.  I think it would be so cool if Jesus came back today.  My eyes are on you Lord, my eyes are on you.

On Saturday I drove by a hand made sign.  It was a piece of scrap wood (posted among other campaign signs), hand painted with the words "TRUMP: THE ONLY HOPE FOR THE USA".

I was stricken with a strong mixture of sadness and joy-- really?  The only hope?  That neighbor certainly doesn't know Jesus, and I wonder how many Americans feel that way.  What hopeless, anguishing misery!

And bliss-- so much joy in my heart that I have no hope in Trump, and all hope in Christ Jesus, His substitutionary death, resurrection, and 2nd coming.

I've cast my vote.  I vote for Jesus to rule and reign, and the Bible tells me my wish comes true.

"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ... "
Philippians 3:20
